Payments and Refund Policy

Please ensure that you have adequate travel insurance. Iona Hostel is not responsible for delayed or cancelled travel connections due to bad weather or any other transport issues.

Full (100%) payment through Worldpay is required to confirm reservations.

I realise that sometimes payment of the full amount in advance can be difficult. If you would prefer to pay by bank transfer I am happy to accept 50% deposit with the balance due on arrival. This only applies to stays of two nights and over. Please email me so that we can discuss this.

If you do not check in for the first night of your scheduled stay, or do not phone us to reconfirm your booking by 7pm of the scheduled date of your arrival, your reservation for consecutive nights will be deemed cancelled and the beds re-let.

Check in is between 4 – 7pm. We cannot guarantee your reservation if your arrival is after 7pm unless you forewarn us that you will be late.

Refund policy

Payments for visits of one night are non-refundable and non-transferable.

For visits of two nights and over, 50% of the original 100% booking payment will be reimbursed if I am notified of the cancellation more than 14 days from the date of arrival. Payment by bank transfer of 50% deposit is non-refundable. Bookings are non-transferable.
